To the fabulous, pink-helmeted 7 year-old in the Hillsboro Elementary Biking Club:

Your determination to pedal with utmost gusto was inspiring, and I admire your fierce concentration, even if you did almost run me over.

Pedal on, my friend-- even if it means you must pedal right over pedestrians, because really, they (as in, me) should just learn how to run like a normal person, & not shuffle like an elderly person.

The things you see in small-town Kansas: priceless.
