Honesty Pants

adulthood feels like, a poem

cliff-jumping
into uncharted waters
the moment after
kiddie-pool graduation
no lifeguard on duty
just space and air and oxygen
and anticipation
CAN SHE DO IT
or better question
WILL SHE DO IT
but then a gentle whisper travels within the wind
it is the queen
Adventure
 urging the fear to

cannonball
the crap

outta adulthood, 
to back up ten feet
get a running start
leap -

do not make the mistake of 

simply falling

when gravity gives you an opportunity to fly

and always remember
swimming is the same
no matter how deep
the water
