Grateful | September 24
Thankful for slow, Saturday mornings at Panera Bread, drinking your sixth cup of coffee outside on the gorgeous autumn day, reading a Christian Jewish woman's memoir, listening to Paul Cardall pandora . Thankful for sausage egg ciabatta mornings and for looking up, surprised and unplanned, but divinely appointed run-ins with THE Judy Harder. Sweet face, even sweeter heart. Tells me about upcoming retirement and transitions. Genuine love and care oozing out through the explanation marks of excitement that surrounds updates and seasons of life.
Sunday, September mornings. Grace on grace on grace. Unmerited favor. Thankful for the kindness of God that leads me towards repentance.
Monday. Thankful for self-care and the conversations that start about Tim Tebow during your pedicure but leads to discussions about faith and how me and the lady washing my feet and painting my nails is a Christian. Yes, I will come back and get muh hurr did by CHOO! Facials, massage, pedi, shellac mani. Needed the relaxation more than I realized.
Sprite, Menno saltines (off-brand), bacon & soup. The first time you are sick away from parents is a telling one. We just hung out, ate sushi then sang to Enrique's "Hero". What is this life if not ridiculously hilarious?
Tuesday. Thankful that God's mercy > judgement. Our hearts cannot condemn us. Thankful Varsity Donuts finally made an appearance to our staff meeting.
