on peeing in the pool.
I believe there are two types of people in this world:
Those who pee in the pool and those who pee in the pool and lie about it.
I believe choosing to live a transparent, gracefully unapologetic, appropriately raw life is like peeing in the pool and fearlessly telling the world about. I believe what Brene Brown says is true: the key to having an abundant, overflowing life begins with vulnerability. The CPR for a dying community begins with the simple raise of a hand and a simple confession. A person who is brave enough to raise their hand and confess, "I pee in the pool."
To be vulnerable is like giving your soul permission to run around naked while everyone else is trying to find fig leaves and make an outfit. But I know God gave us a brain for a reason. You just can't run around naked in front of anyone. There's a time and a place; specific pools you pee in, specific places you uncover your soul. Discerning vulnerability. It's one of the really, really good gifts to possess. Ask God for it and watch what happens.
So today, be gentle and honest in the same breath. Be gracefully unapologetic. Be real. Be transparent.
Today, pee in the pool and tell someone about it.
