Gluttonous handfuls of selfishness.
Before all else fails, pray for a good attitude. Sometimes trying to will one your way does the exact opposite.
Perhaps this is affirmation I was made for another life. I was made to do something more in this life than to just live it.
What a Sodom my soul is, a Babylon by heart. A post-Joshua Jericho my convictions, but now they are taller & stronger. My values now have more of a backbone. Stand up, decisions.
California, you have one more shot to redeem yourself.
Maybe the great plains and Texas is my home. Grateful for the direction, grateful that I am not left up to myself.
