morning mercies
today, I'm grateful for:
[His mercies. They are new every morning]
&
lungs who don't hate air,
& lungs who aren't friends with coughing and sickness. must chug vitamin C. hope against bronchitis. pick up an inhaler.
sweet old ladies who pass down a cough drop to you when you are disturbing the entire sanctuary with your hacking. what a community the Lord has given me here in this tiny town of Hillsboro.
thankful for the little laughs the Lord allows me:
dear elderly lady in the Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren women's bathroom--- That motion paper towel dispenser won't spit out towels by you pressing your nose up against the clear opening on the front. I agree, sometimes the world needs a little more simplicity.

today, the Lord knew my soul needed:
surprise red velvet cake & head buts & laughter.
snuggle sisters who are equally sick.
leftover lemonade and red diamond sweet tea.

my hands love:
to make pigs and a blanket with little smokies because it reminds me of Wednesday mornings with the sweetest servant team friends and a wonderful Texas summer.

today, my sinful self needed to be reminded of the following:
"Reverence for God is a matter of the heart. The damage to God's glory by our sins is determined not by the severity of our sin but by the value of God's glory."
